In her untitled poem, Dr Jamie Zhou succinctly captures both the physical devastation wreaked by cancer in the human body, and the devastation of families torn apart by terminal illness. Through her experience with both community and hospital-based palliative care at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, Dr Zhou is able to draw on her unique and poignant perspective in her writing.
